Welcome to the Landscapes from Manidoo Abi website. For the Anishinabee, the lands and waterways on Eastside of Lake Winnipeg is the place where the Creator sits - Manidoo Abi. The intent of the "Landscapes from Manidoo Abi" is to capture, pictorially, the timeless beauty of the land and waterways on the Eastside of Lake Winnipeg and share these stunning colour photograph art images with the rest of the world, and to broadly promote the area, as stated by UNESCO, as "an outstanding example of the Canadian Boreal Shield both geographically and culturally." This website is designed to promote in a positive way, not only the Eastside of Lake Winnipeg but also the proposed 4.3 million hectre UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been short-listed for nomination by the Government of Canada, supported by the effected First Nation communities and by the Government of Manitoba and Ontario. I encourage you to read the following information and enjoy the wonderful images from the Eastside of Lake Winnipeg. Don Sullivan Want to get Updates From Manidoo Abi to your email? CLICK HERE |
